Presently, HSDC’s website is
undergoing some structural changes. So, please bear with us as we go through
the exciting journey of finding even better and more exciting ways to keep you abreast
of our several activities. We are exploring
better ways of helping you navigate though our website so you’ll quickly find
all the information you’re looking for.
So what is this “information for you”
that we are talking about?
Of course we will be
reminding you of our mandate, our vision and our mission, as well as our more
than 16 years of capacity-building and
empowerment activities targeted towards at-risk and marginalized youths, their
families, underprivileged women, and newcomers in Scarborough East, one of
Toronto’s 13 priority neighbourhoods. We will also attempt at introducing our
hardworking staff and dedicated volunteers who make all the activities succeed.
And very importantly, we will give you details about
our programs.
Immediately we have
confirmation about the September 2009 resumption dates of our training programs,
we will promptly post them on the website under “News and Upcoming.” These programs include our free Basic and
Advanced Computer Training program, French as a Second Language (FSL), Youth
Entrepreneurship Projects, Single Mom’s program, Dressmaking and Fashion
Designing project, as well as our Seniors’ Helpline program.
Of course, a new date for our postponed joint
graduation event featuring 3 of our programs will also be announced. The event
will have very important dignitaries from our community and beyond in
attendance. Please stay posted!
For now, please feel free to
browse through the website and find out more about what kinds of programs we
have to offer. For further inquiries, or if you would like to register for a
program – please call (416) 345-1613 or e-mail us at info@hsdconline.org.
Hope to talk to you soon!
