The Provincial Youth Outreach Worker program provides services for high risk, vulnerable and underserved black youth. The program supports youth facing multiple barriers including: mental health, trauma, involvement in the criminal justice system, lack of school engagement, lack of educational opportunities, employment needs, homelessness and addiction. At HSDC we provide support services to black youth living in the Scarborough area. Our services include: counselling, anger management, conflict resolution, mentorship, support with personal development, connection to housing, individual/family and group counselling, workshops, job search and referrals and more.
