HSDC delivers comprehensive, culturally responsive programs that support marginalized and racialized women, girls, and gender-diverse individuals experiencing or at risk of violence. Through prevention, intervention, and long-term rebuilding support, our programs promote immediate safety, critical awareness, and sustainable healing.
Our Program Pillars:
- Crisis Intervention: Ensuring victims receive immediate assistance, safety planning, and emotional support during urgent situations.
- Empowerment Workshops: Prevention and rebuilding sessions that teach individuals how to recognize and prevent violence, understand reporting procedures, and access mental health and social supports.
- Rebuilding Resources: Guiding participants as they rebuild their lives through access to essential housing, employment, and legal resources.
- Holistic Care: Providing professional, supportive counselling and coordinating referrals to vital community resources, including shelters, healthcare providers, and legal services.
We are dedicated to providing the guidance and support needed for survivors to move forward safely and confidently.
