Scarborough Newcomer Parent Support System (SNPS)

The Scarborough New Parent Support Program fosters positive outcomes for Black children, youth, and their parents/caregivers through culturally-relevant support and specialized workshops. 

Program Highlights: 

  • Self-Care Workshops for children, youth, and parents/caregivers to promote emotional well-being. 
  • Conflict Resolution Workshops for parents to strengthen communication and minimize household conflict. 
  • Healing Intergenerational Workshops designed to address and break patterns of intergenerational trauma. 
  • Supportive Counselling for parents facing mental health and addiction issues.
