Get ready for an exciting learning and interactive workshop series! Heritage Skills Development Centre (HSDC) presents an ONLINE Intergenerational trauma and healing workshop series for Parents of Afro-Caribbean descent. We’ve meticulously designed this program to build awareness about the intergenerational trauma and how it can impact our parenting. The program would ensure you understand the various ways trauma is passed on through generations and the role trauma is still playing in black communities and families as well as the next steps that should be taken to break the cycle of trauma.
Join us for this transformative workshop series starting on January 24, 2024 Each session will be held every Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. EST on Zoom.
Throughout the workshop, you will:
- Understand trauma, types, and symptoms of intergenerational trauma
- Explore the Impact of Family Trauma on Our Daily Lives
- Acquire knowledge in breaking the cycle of intergenerational trauma and maladaptive behaviors
- Take steps towards healing and Restoring Optimal Mental Health
- Engage in discussions with other parents and networking
There will be an experienced facilitator who will help us with the steps toward healing.
