Building Resilience through Harm Reduction Program (BRHR)

The Building Resilience through Harm Reduction Program (BRHR) is designed to equip black and racialized individuals dealing with substance use with practical, life-saving strategies for healthier living and greater resilience. Delivered through weekly, supportive workshops, this initiative fostered a non-judgmental space for learning and peer connection. 

Key Program Components include: 

  • Comprehensive training on overdose prevention and safer drug use techniques. 
  • Training on crucial coping strategies, including mindfulness and self-awareness. 
  • Open dialogue to challenge and reduce stigma around substance use 
  • Community engagement and outreach  
  • Supportive counselling and referral services
