Heritage Skills Development Centre (HSDC) is pleased to present a FREE ONLINE Parenting/Caregiver Workshop for Black parents and Caregivers in Scarborough. The program is designed to build parenting skills and enhance parental involvement in the holistic development of their children.
Join this program to learn the best strategies to raise your children, manage conflict and stress, and also navigate the school systems and institutions
At the end of the 10-week workshop, participants will effectively understand the Cultural definition of parenting and Goals of parenting; Parenting styles and their Effects On Children’s Behavior; Framework for Understanding Immigrant Parenting; Strengths and hopes for black parents/caregivers; Parenting in Canada for Afro-Caribbean families; Issues for Immigrant Parents and Their Children.
Workshops start May 17th and will take place every Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm EST ON ZOOM.
